There is no doubt that if you and your family are traveling to Myrtle Beach in the summer, you’re here to soak up the sun on our beachfront property at Monterey Bay Suites. But what other things are there to do? We’ve put together a few recommendations of things to do in Myrtle Beach in August that we are sure will add some fun to your stay!
Myrtle Beach is one of the top golf destinations in the U.S., and lucky for you the Pine Lakes Golf Club is just a short drive from Monterey Bay Suites. Schedule a tee time for Dad or take the whole family – kids play free!
If you need to beat the heat or get the kids out of the suite try one of these Myrtle Beach Watersports! Cool down with a ride on the Banana Boat or rent a pair of jet skis. If you’re feeling really adventurous get up in the air in a parasail!
Brookgreen offers a display of color and wonder with their NEW Summer Lights attraction. Families can enter the gardens at 7:00pm and enjoy food, crafts, and music while enjoying traditional Chinese lantern art! This is a bit of a hike from Monterey Bay Suites, but it’s definitely worth the drive!
One of the best things about visiting Myrtle Beach in the summer is the amazing displays of fireworks every night. You can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants at Broadway at the Beach and then stick around with the kids for the sky extravaganza. Or head on up to Barefoot Landing for their colorful nighttime display!
