One of the best parts of vacationing in Myrtle Beach is all the amazing restaurants along the Grand Strand. This time around we want to focus on Restaurants: Broadway at the Beach Edition. Broadway is a great spot for singles, couples, or the whole family, with entertainment all day long and so many great eateries to choose from. We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite spots to grab a bite at Broadway at the Beach.
The Grumpy Monk offers a fun atmosphere, a variety of craft beers, and some of the most delicious food at Broadway (including their hand-rolled sushi!) Choose from items like the Triple Double or Tropical Storm sushi rolls, The Monk Went Up To Philly (Monk’s take on a cheesesteak), and Monk Turds (fresh jalapenos stuffed to the brim with cream cheese, bacon, and lightly fried). Happy hour is daily from 4-7 pm and live music, trivia, and other fun games are offered throughout the week and weekend.
If you’re looking for a real southern dining experience, you must go to Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen! This restaurant is all the rave and everything is ordered family style. You’ll choose 2-3 of their Down Home Dishes like Beef Pot Roast, Best Ever Southern Fried Chicken, or Georgia Fried Catfish, and 4 Famous Sides to share at the table. Don’t worry about everyone getting their fill, all your dishes are replenished as you eat! To top it all off, everyone gets their pick from some of the most mouth-watering desserts like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Banana Pudding (a southern favorite), and Seasonal Cobbler. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, be sure to make reservations!
Yamato is a Japanese Steakhouse that not only serves up some of the best hibachis around but will keep the whole family entertained as well! They have a large menu filled with delicious appetizers, sushi, and hibachi dinner including combination entrees like their filet & lobster, shrimp & scallops, or filet, chicken & shrimp! Your meals come in large portions, so don’t forget to ask for extra yum-yum sauce! Yamato’s stays busy so make sure to reserve your table ahead of time.
Laidback with some of the best chicken entrees on the Grand Strand, Rooster’s is a perfect place for a low key bite. Some of our favorites on the menu include the Fried Chicken Sandwich smothered with American Cheese, pickles and toasted on house-made buns, the Rodeo Burger, and their Buffalo Chicken Salad. Rooster’s is also a great spot to grab a few drinks with friends, they serve Gigantic Cocktails like Rooster Punch, as well as bottled and draft beer.
The famous Wahlberg brothers’ burger joint Wahlburgers has come to Myrtle Beach! Here you can enjoy a variety of cocktails and food items like their signature The Our Burger, a 1/3lb burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, government cheese, pickles, and topped with Paul’s homemade Wahl sauce. This is a great place to bring the family and enjoy a unique spin on burgers, fries, and floats.
