Myrtle Beach Black Friday Shopping 101

Will you be in Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving this year? If so, don’t forget to bring your shopping shoes, because Myrtle Beach is a hotspot for Black Friday deals! Whether you are seeking high end retailers or local shops, Myrtle Beach offers plenty of great places to stock up on whatever you can imagine.

Here are a few tips on the best Black Friday shopping in Myrtle Beach:

Tanger Outlets: Hwys. 501 and 17

The Tanger Outlets are prime must-hit shopping locations in Myrtle Beach every day of the year, but especially on Black Friday. They’re open this year from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. “Thanksgiving Eve,” and open for Black Friday at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, staying open until 9 p.m. on Friday. So get ready to stock up on Christmas gifts from outlets for Coach, Old Navy, Nautica, The Children’s Place, The North Face and more.

The Market Common

This is one of our favorite places to shop in Myrtle Beach. It’s got a quaint urban village-style setting that visitors love and offers some great high-end retailers combined with more affordable shops and plenty of local boutiques for good measure. The Market Common stays closed on Thanksgiving day so employees can spend time with their families but they open early, starting at 8 a.m., and closing late, at 9 p.m., on Black Friday. The shopping area also holds its Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Black Friday, with the celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. at Valor Park.

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at The Beach is known for whole lot more than just family attractions. There’s also tons of shopping to be had, so make sure to put it on your Myrtle Beach Black Friday list. Broadway at the Beach will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday.

Coastal Grand Mall

The hours for Black Friday at this local mall had not yet been set at the time of this writing, but if 2012 is any indication, you can expect to be able to make a midnight sprint to the mall after you’ve digested your Thanksgiving meal (and maybe even taken a little nap). You’ll be able to stock up on gifts from your favorite shops such as our newly renovated JCPenny, Abercrombie, Foot Locker, Express, Dress Barn, Mens Wearhouse and more.
