There is no fussy food here, but great eats presented with a twist. Crispy, crunchy tater tots with special seasoning, for example, come to your table hot with a choice of chipotle ketchup, cheese sauce or smoky, sweet barbecue sauce.

Located at 1110 N. Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach, this venture of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville overlooks the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also adjacent to SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, which serves as the signature attraction to the Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade.

LandShark Bar & Grill’s fun, outdoorsy appeal is ideal for fun whether visitors are traveling solo, or if they are enjoying their vacation with family and friends. Its breezy ambience – a given because of its proximity to the ocean – welcomes customers to sit, eat, drink and be merry.

This mood is set as soon as folks walk through the doors and are greeted by chipper staff, with everyone from the servers to the managers giving customers cheery hellos and keeping them upbeat throughout their entire dining experience.

“From start to finish, the staff wants to make sure customers are happy when they are here,” said Drew Doss, a manager at LandShark Bar & Grill. “We are upbeat, and we promote escapism. We want people to come have great food in a great environment while having great fun.”

The Palacious family from Conway travel to the eatery three or four times a month because of its successful mix of fun, food and priceless view of the ocean. “We enjoy coming to LandShark Bar & Grill because it’s relaxing and calm,” said Christine Palacios, as she ate dinner with her husband, John, and their daughter, Kaitlyn. “We like seeing the beach while eating, and we like watching the SkyWheel.”

The family favors the queso and chips or pretzel sticks as appetizers, with the queso and chips being served with the eatery’s spicy cheese and tomato salsa. Meanwhile, the pretzel sticks get their flavor edge from Creole ranch dipping sauce that also comes with cheese sauce. “My favorite is the bacon and cheddar cheeseburger,” Christine Palacios said. “It is a mouthful of yummy."

Other customer favorites include the fish tacos (the grilled catch of the day with shredded cabbage and Baja sauce), the fish sandwich (prepared grilled, blackened or fried), the chicken wings and the caprese chicken panini.

LandShark Bar & Grill is also known for its tasty and unusual drinks, including the Bama Breeze. It is a frozen drink made with Margaritaville Premium Silver Rum, Cruzan Vanilla Rum, orange juice and Island Oasis mango and coconut mixes. The Loaded LandShark features LandShark Lager paired with Margaritaville Island Lime Tequila.

Whatever food and libation customers choose can be enjoyed either on the upper level deck or the lower level deck, which unlike the upper deck, is without awning. On the lower deck, each table has its own LandShark umbrella that shades customers from the sun.

Both areas provide stellar views of the beach that are hard to beat.
