Adrenaline Adventures Myrtle Beach offers thrill seekers exciting Zipline rides in the sky
Liberty exists in flying.
Just ask Larry Hannah. He loves ziplines.
“There is freedom in flying,” said Hannah, a Conway resident. “You feel just like a bird. There are no boundaries.”
The former rescue worker, who also worked on water towers, said the adrenaline rush one gets taking to ziplines is out of sight.
Hannah may want to try the ziplines at Adrenaline Adventures at Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures, 321 9th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach. It is where those brave of heart go to fly high in Myrtle Beach in a zip.
A guide at Adrenaline Adventures, who simply goes by the name Glenn J., said the zipline there is a high-voltage experience for thrill seekers.
“There is no adventure like this one in Myrtle Beach,” Glenn J. said. “The zipline ride is about 6 stories high. You zip down three to four stories at 20 to 25 mph. It is totally unique.”
There are six side-by-side ziplines at Adrenaline Adventures that allows people to race against one another.
The zipline riders glide 600 feet from tower to tower. If folks zip at night, the ziplines will glow in neon lights.
Glenn J. said people of all sorts are fond of the zipline.
“We’ve had customers from kids to an 80-year-old man,” he said. “The 80-year-old man was in the Armed Forces, and he jumped out of airplanes before. So for him, the zipline was (a cinch).”
Located at the former site of the Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park, the zipline rides of Adrenaline Adventures end with an exhilarating 60-foot tower free fall.
“You just step off and fall about 50 feet,” Glenn J. said.
Guests of Paradise Resort in Myrtle Beach may want explore the thrills at Adrenaline Adventures, which is only a few minutes away from their state-of-the art accommodations. Harnesses, hard hats and other safety gear needed are all provided by Adrenaline Adventures. All thrill seekers, however, must weigh between 40 and 300 pounds to participate, Glenn J. said.
